If you look at the Republican Party right now and its base. Its made up mostly southern, rural, protestant, male and caucasian voters. While most of the rest of the country leans democratic and with African and Latin American Voters. Overwhelmingly democratic, the only reason why the Republican Party is still competitive in American Politics right now. Is because roughly 70% of the country is still caucasian but that number is falling. With a heavy percentage of the country still protestant and about half of the country still male.
By 2050 America is going to be a majority minority country, with not a racial or ethnic majority in the country. For the GOP to continue to be a major party in America. They are going to have to be able to reach to their non traditional base. They could do this if they want to. Because African and Latin American Voters tend to very religious and Socially Conservative. And tend to be Pro Business especially Small Business and believing in Self Reliance instead of the Welfare State. But they have to make this move on their own to make it happen.
For the GOP to continue to be a major party on the National Stage, they are going to have to be able to reach out to the country as a whole. And be able to attract voters out of their Traditional Base. Or they’ll leave most of the country to the Democratic Party.
