Socialists do tend to put their faith not in religion or the individual in a lot of cases. But in the state especially the central state when it comes to decision-making for people. Socialists tend not to even have a lot of faith in state or provincial governments or local governments. But tend to want a lot of power and revenue centralized with the central government of the country. Even if they believe in a level of capitalism and a private sector. Which a lot of Socialists now do support a certain level of capitalism with their socialist ideology.
