This is what happens when the Democratic and Republican leaderships are not strong enough to take on their own party’s base. But I disagree with Jim VandenHei to this degree that Senate Democrats and President Obama are in a stronger position. Because House Republicans are essentially saying this that we’ll fund the government and do our jobs. Passing a federal budget is something that Congress is supposed to do every year anyway. But what the House Republican Leadership is saying even though Senate Democrats already passed a government. Funding bill using House Republican numbers is that we’ll pass a budget as well. And do our jobs but only if you reward us and give us something that we can take to our Tea Party base. Which is delaying and essentially killing the Affordable Care Act. And what President Obama and Senate Democrats are saying is no to quote Margaret Thatcher. We are not going to reward you and take heat from our own party by giving you something that has been law for three. Years, upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court and settled by the rest of the country last year not including the Tea Party. Which was the 2012 general elections and what Democrats are saying we already gave you your budget numbers. Now do your job and fund the government.
